"In The Progress of Romance, published in 1785, Clara Reeves defines the differences between romances and novels..." le dijo Virginia a Amanda Rojas; lo que ocurre es que no hay manera de traducir eso de romances. Si la hubiera, podríamos animarnos a escribir un wikiromance. Pero no sé si habría manera de quitarle a la nueva palabra ese toque extrañamente rosa.

En aquel momento Amanda traía en una bandeja unas tazas y una jarra de café; empezaba a caer la niebla en Londres, y fue en ese preciso momento cuando Virginia le dijo a Clarissa, "... there is that liquid the English call coffee..." Y, sin importarle si Amanda lloraba o no, siguió diciendo, "...what passes for cookery in England is an abomination..." Viendo la tristeza de Amanda...
